Mystery Deepens

In a last-ditch bid to track the artist down, I telephoned the BC College of Art and Design to see if he might have left a forwarding address. When I spoke to the college registrar to inquire about Hideki’s time there as a student, she claimed not to be able to locate any records under his name. It was possible that so great was the art college’s embarrassment about once having had him there as a student, not to mention a graduate, that they had destroyed his records; however, I had never heard of an educational institution doing such a thing, so this could only mean one thing: Hideki had never been a student at BCCAD. This made me wonder just how many tall tales he had told, and were any of them true?
